Situated near the very center of the Mediterranean Sea, Malta is a truly intruiguing destination.  The island’s culture is densely rich, due to thousands of years of various inhabitations.  Foods, architecture, and lifestyle of the Malta show the changes that have occurred over the years.  

Although Malta is not known for having numerous beaches, the island still has a few fantastic ones to offer- with fine golden sand and crystal clear waters, Malta’s beaches are great.  Melliha is an exceptional beach.  Large in size, it is suitable for families with young children, as well as many others looking for a place to cool off and enjoy the tranquil Mediterranean shore.  Golden Sands and Armier are also well-known beaches.

Valleta is the capital of Malta; a lively city where one can find delicious restaurants, as well as historical sites such as a fortress dating back to the Knights of St. John. Within Valleta, authentic works of art by world renown artists such as Caravaggio can be found here as well.

Malta’s lovely scenery has been a splendid location for films, with Gladiator and Troy having been filmed on the island.  Natural offerings of Malta are fresh fish such as prawns, squid and many types of fish from the surrounding sea, as well as luscious grapes from which delicious wines are produced.  Olives and figs thrive on Malta as well with their lovely groves embellishing the island’s hillsides.
